Ao Manao is under the supervision of Wing 53, the Royal Thai Air Force. It is a clean beach with beautiful nature suitable for swimming. Opposite the beach stands Khao Lom Muak. At ebb tide, a long sand bar will appear and can be walked along. At the summit of Khao Lom Muak, there is a replica of the Buddha’s footprint. Moreover, at the foot of the mountain stands a shrine of Chaopho Khao Lom Muak. It is also the location of the Spectacled Langur Preservation Area.
Ao Manao was once a battlefield in World War II between the Thai and Japanese armies. At present, within the compound of the Wing, there is a hero statue, a replica of an air force soldier standing on a propeller holding a flag and facing towards the sea, Wing 53 Historical Park, a large stone engraved into the scene of the fight between the Thai and the Japanese armies at Ao Manao. There is an annual ceremony to commemorate the heroic deeds of 8 December, 1941. Tourists can relax and swim at the beach. Moreover, there are restaurants, a club, and various forms of accommodation provided such as town houses, condominium, etc.

To get there:
- By car From Mueang Prachuap Municipality, go to the south along Sala Chip Road until reaching the T-junction to Highway No. 3167, and pass the airport of Wing 53 to Ao Manao, a distance of 15 kilometres. Otherwise from Ao Prachuap, take the road along the beach.
- By bus Get off at the Prachuap Khiri Khan Bus Terminal and continue with the service motorcycle.
- By train Get off at the Prachuap Khiri Khan Railway Station and continue with the service motorcycle.
